Another variation on the Italian Scenery pattern containing the winding road attributed to Leeds with a ruined arch
inside which a classical figure is seen riding a mythical bird, and two male figures talking adjacent to some fallen balustrading
on the steps up to the arch. Unmarked with no footrim in the style of pearlware attribution is very difficult, particularly since
these Italianate designs were produced in Swansea, Bristol and Yorkshire as well as Staffordshire No wear on the face but
there is a 6mm flake chip on the rim and close by a 30mm potting defect, but is otherwise in good condition.
